Wattbike is picking up momentum over in Korea, where six Wattbike Pro/Trainers were recently delivered to the Keirin velodrome in Seoul.
Because of the pandemic, all keirin races this year have been cancelled. The keirin headquarters needed to come up with a support plan for their riders so they could keep training and retain that competitive spirit, even without races.
After discussions with their Rider Support Team, it was agreed that six Wattbikes would be delivered to the keirin centre but also across Korea to different keirin riders to support their home training.

Another popular Korean sport to recently adopt the Wattbike is the top pro basketball team; Team LG. Basketball is one of four professional sports in Korea, aside from volleyball, football, and baseball.
Wattbikes were provided on a loan basis to Team LG for two weeks, alongside product training and education for the teams and coaches. The team has now purchased three Wattbikes for their headquarters, and Wattbikes have also been delivered to the best football team in Korea; the Hyundai soccer team.
