On Tuesday November 12th, RAF Cranwell showcased their new, bespoke Wattbike Zone. The custom made graphics have been installed to educate, enhance the training experience and to encourage personnel to measure performance through connectivity via Bluetooth and newly installed Wifi capabilities.
The Wattbike Zone features information on gearing, training zones, pedalling technique and tips on how to use the Wattbikes and Wattbike Hub app to track and measure performance and fitness, so personnel can monitor and improve their fitness with every ride. RAF Cranwell’s gym is now also functional with third party apps such as Zwift, TrainerRoad and Strava thanks to the installation of Wifi and the seamless connectivity options available on the Wattbikes. Sufferfest classes and competitions will also be hosted on site to encourage maximum participation.
The PTs on site also received Wattbike education from one of our Master Trainers. They will now begin to run small workshops on how to achieve the perfect Real Ride setup, how to connect devices and third party apps to the Wattbikes, and how to follow bespoke training programmes on the Wattbikes to promote health programmes for all staff.
