BASES Conference 2019

The 2019 BASES Conference took place at the end of November at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium. The conference is an annual two day event that focuses on sport and exercise science and showcases world-leading content across sport and exercise sciences.

The Wattbike team was on site this year to speak to postgraduates and strength and conditioning coaches who are translating their science and coaching into applied settings. Our team displayed Wattbike’s latest products, the Icon and AtomX, and educated delegates on the use of off-feet conditioning in sport.

Supporting our bid to improve performance around the globe, Leicester City’s Strength & Power Coach Mitch Willis and the RFU’s Jon Clarke gave talks during the conference on athlete testing and off-feet conditioning, and how cycle-based exercise and testing can be used to improve the performance of team sport athletes.

If you want to learn more about this topic, we covered off-feet conditioning earlier this year with theNew Zealand All Blacks’ Strength and Conditioning coach Nic Gill.
