How do you set up Zwift with your Wattbike 

 Connecting Your Wattbike to Zwift 
  • Necessary accessories and connecting (heart rate monitors) - Zwift will only connect to Bluetooth heart rate straps in the Wattbike zone.  
     
  • Troubleshooting common connectivity issues-Ensure no other Apps are running in the background when you pair Wattbike sensors with Zwift.  
     
  • Zwift integrates the Wattbikes Gear and Ergo mode. This means you can ride around using our 22 virtual gears, but you'll still notice the impact the hills have on your legs so be sure to lower the gear and keep your cadence up as you get closer to the bottom of the hills.  

 

Customising Your Zwift Experience and Training 
  • Selecting routes and training plans -  Riding on the Zwift station will allow you to explore the virtual world of Watopia. You'll be able to take in the sights and interact with other riders. It maybe you are even riding with someone on the other side of the world so do keep an eye on the rider’s flags on the right of the screen.  
     
  • Customise your workout - Download the Zwift App and sign up for your free trial. This enables you to personalise your riding experience and make use of the training plans and workouts built into the Zwift platform. Once you've selected a workout remember the bike will control the gears automatically so focus on keeping your pedalling smooth and consistent as changing cadence will affect the quality of your session. 
     
     
Maximizing Your Workouts 
  • Using Zwift’s features to track your progress - Zwift measures performance based on Watts per kilogram (w/kg). The higher the w/kg the faster you will ride both on the flat and up the climbs. To improve your power (Watts) then be sure to start off with a ramp test to assess your functional threshold power (FTP). 
     
  • Joining group rides and races - Download the Zwift companion app to join group rides and races and take your indoor riding experience up a level.  
     
  • Integrating structured training sessions (Wattbike Hub App) - If you want to use the free Zwift account in the gym. Then don't forgot you can still use the Wattbike workouts and training plans to help you reach your goals and track your progress using the Wattbike Hub App.
