Welcome Gym opens its doors to Wattbike after successful trial

March 17, 2021 1 min read

Welcome Gym, which is owned by the Fitness4Less group, currently has 16 sites across the country which offer no contract gym memberships and great quality facilities at affordable prices.

Welcome Gym pride themselves on providing their members with the best equipment available, which is why a Wattbike trial was put in place at their Southwark location:

"We were drawn to Wattbike because of their success with many of the professional sports teams who use them on a regular basis and who eulogise as to how helpful they are. This success has fed down to gym members who in turn have been requesting them in the clubs.” - Steve Bradley, Operations Director at Fitness4Less Group.

Following Wattbike education being delivered to staff on site, the trial at Southwark club proved to be very successful with both novice and more experienced gym members raving about the Wattbikes. Because of this successful trial, Welcome Gym now plan to roll out Wattbikes into as many of their sites as possible.

Wattbike is proud to support Nottingham’s Nic Rotton as he takes on an extraordinary endurance challenge: completing the equivalent of 30 Olympic-distance triathlons in 30 days. Raising funds and awareness for Vasculitis UK, the initiative is deeply personal to Nic, who was diagnosed with Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA), a rare autoimmune disease. Now in remission, he aims to raise £15,000 while inspiring others through his journey. As a Nottingham-based indoor cycling brand, Wattbike has provided a performance bike to support his training, reinforcing its commitment to community, resilience and wellbeing. Starting and finishing at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground, this remarkable charity challenge highlights the power of determination, local collaboration and the enduring legacy of cycling in Nottingham.
