This week, Sheffield International Venues (SIV), Serco Tadley and Everyone Active Berkhamsted became the very first UK sites to redefine their indoor cycling offer ahead of the January Rush by installing Wattbike Icons in their gyms.

THE WATTBIKE ICON

First showcased at FIBO Germany in April and Elevate London in May this year, the first fleet of Wattbike Icons will now be installed across the country ahead of the New Year. The Wattbike Icon was borne from the pioneer of indoor bikes, the Wattbike Pro/Trainer, and features Wattbike's classic dual air and magnetic resistance for a realistic ride feel. The Wattbike Icon also includes our brand new high-definition Performance Touchscreen, which holds the Wattbike Hub app right in the touchscreen. Featuring tests, workouts, training plans, cycling simulations and the brand new interval builder, the Wattbike Icon will redefine indoor cycling by offering riders a highly personalised and motivating workout experience.

REDEFINING THEIR INDOOR CYCLING OFFER

Sheffield International Venues (SIV) installed six Wattbike Icons together with a Wattbike Zone in their gym, offering their members an immersive and data driven indoor cycling experience. Serco Tadley have placed an Icon on their gym floor to complete their cardiovascular offer and to make sure their customers can structure their training with the Icon's in-built plans and workouts. Over at Everyone Active Berkhamsted, two Wattbike Icons have been installed on the gym floor to offer variety and data driven training to their members and clients.

These Icon(ic) installs signify a clear shift to data driven training and exercise technology within the health and fitness industry, and are just the beginning of Wattbike's mission to improve performance around the globe and redefine the way the industry views indoor cycling.
