There were wins all round for HUUB Wattbike pb Vita Coco at the National Track Championships in Manchester this weekend. Across events, a total of three gold, two silver and three bronze capped off a great team performance.

The boys are proud owners of the stripes for another year after retaining the National Team Pursuit title after catching Team Inspired to bring home gold with a track and competition record time of 3.54.0.

Elsewhere, Dan Bigham, Jonny Wale, John Archibald, Kyle Gordon and Will Perrett all enjoyed podium finishes across individual events- the Individual Pursuit, Kilo and Points race.

Team Huub Wattbike also completed a clean sweep on the podium when John Archibald retained his National IP title with a time of 4:14.572, for Jonny to take silver and Dan bronze, with Will Perrett also claiming a top-four finish.

Jonny Wale placed first in the Kilo, clocking 1:01:770 and claiming his first-ever national title, beating last years silver result. Kyle Gordon put in a shift to claim bronze and Dan Bigham picked up the silver, making for another all HUUB Wattbike podium.

Will Perrett added another medal to the haul, picking up third in the points race.

Following on from the Team Pursuit win, John Archibald said:

“We always enjoy coming to nationals – it’s something we love doing as a group and it means a lot to us. It’s not like we ever just expect to win; we’ve all come from a place where a national title could be the pinnacle of what you achieve, so to come here and win again is very special.”
