Our USA distributor Woodway recently visited Tampa Bay Lightning and their Director of Performance, Mark Lambert, to conduct player testing on rookies and other younger players. Tampa Bay are the southernmost team ever to win the Stanley Cup, and are looking in fine form this year after winning the President’s Trophy last season.
At the testing, each athlete was set up on the Wattbike and taken through the Wingate test, among other physiological and technical tests such as jumping, lifting and body composition assessments. Another visit will take place later this year to support the team with re-testing, testing follow-ups and training protocol overviews.
